| The
DEP/DOH Interagency Agreement (opens in new window) was amended January 2010. The
document serves several purposes with the most important sections
outlining the relationship between the DEP and the DOH in the
implementation of the
Florida Safe Drinking Water Act (opens in new window) (FSDWA). The various
responsibilities for the
DEP District Offices (opens in new window), the Safe Drinking Water Act Delegated
County Health Departments (CHDs), Non-delegated CHDs, and the DEP
and DOH Central Offices are also described. Additional sections
outline specific programmatic elements of the FSDWA program, the
nomination process for newly prospective delegated CHDs, and various
administrative issues. The document also includes a series of
appendices that address various FSDWA program issues, including
water system classification, and the
interagency transfer of public water
systems. |
